About Me

My name is Larry Hardin and I started playing professionally at age 17. My first performing experiences began in elementary school at special events. By the time I hit 20, I had recorded an album (Backwater) and spent a couple of years travelling the South, playing at bars, jazz clubs, music festivals, anywhere we could! Our band opened for such diverse acts as blues legends B.B. King, Bobby “Blue” Bland, Bonnie Raitt, John Hammond, Jr., crossover star Emmylou Harris and others. I’ve even performed on stage with Edgar Winter!

Accomplished at all styles of jazz, at heart I love R&B and smooth jazz was a natural progression for me and is a large part of my repertoire these days.
